Privacy Policy for Colcam

Perspective Intelligence ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Colcam mobile application ("Colcam"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Colcam.
We designed Colcam primarily as a photo-based collection management application. Collection information is generally stored locally on your device unless a feature or third-party service specifically requires information to be transmitted.
1. Camera and Photos
Colcam uses your device's camera to allow you to photograph items in your collection.
Depending on the features available in the application, Colcam may also allow you to select photographs from your device.
Camera and photo access is requested only when required for the relevant application feature.
Photographs captured or selected for your collection are used to provide the collection management functionality of Colcam.
2. Text Recognition
Colcam can process photographs to recognize text appearing in images.
Recognized text may be associated with the corresponding collection item and may be used as part of the item's description.
This allows you to search and filter your collection using words that appear in your photographs.
Where supported by the application and device, text recognition is performed on the device rather than requiring the photograph to be uploaded to Perspective Intelligence.
3. Object Recognition
Colcam can analyze photographs to identify possible objects and suggest possible object names.
Colcam may present multiple possible object names for you to review and select. Previously recognized object names may also be offered as choices when adding another item.
The selected object name may become part of the information associated with the collection item.
Where supported by the application and device, object recognition is performed on the device.
4. Collection and Item Information
Colcam allows you to record information about items in your collection.
Depending on the features you use, this information may include:
- Photographs of collection items
- Recognized text
- Selected or recognized object names
- Purchase date
- Price
- Quantity
- Location
- Notes and other item information
Information you enter into Colcam is used to provide collection management, search, filtering, and organization features.
5. Information Stored on Your Device
Colcam may store photographs, recognized text, object names, and collection information on your device as part of the application's functionality.
This information is used to display, organize, search, filter, and manage your collection.
Perspective Intelligence does not use your collection information for advertising or sell your collection information to advertisers.
You are responsible for the information and photographs that you choose to store in Colcam. Please avoid storing highly sensitive or confidential information unless you are comfortable with how that information is handled by your device and the application.
6. Search and Filtering
Colcam can use recognized text and other information associated with your collection items to provide search and filtering functionality.
Search and filtering are intended to help you find items in your collection without requiring you to remember where an item was stored or every detail about the item.
7. Duplicate Detection
Colcam may analyze information associated with collection items to help identify potential duplicate items.
This functionality is intended to help you maintain and organize your collection.
8. Backup and Restore
Colcam may provide backup and restore functionality for your collection information.
Backup and restore may involve creating or reading backup files using storage available on your device or another location selected by you.
You are responsible for protecting any backup files you create and for choosing where those files are stored or transferred.
Unless a particular backup feature explicitly indicates otherwise, Perspective Intelligence does not receive or maintain a copy of your collection backup.
9. Advertising
Colcam may display advertisements using Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google.
When advertisements are displayed, Google and its advertising partners may collect or receive certain information from the device for purposes such as delivering advertisements, measuring advertising performance, preventing fraud, and maintaining the security and operation of the advertising service.
Depending on the user's location, applicable settings, consent, and the type of advertisement served, advertising may be personalized or non-personalized.
Colcam does not provide your collection photographs, recognized text, object names, notes, purchase information, or other collection records to advertisers for the purpose of selecting advertisements.
Google may process advertising-related information according to Google's own privacy policies and applicable terms.

10. Advertising Consent and Regional Requirements
Advertising and consent requirements may vary depending on the country or region in which you use Colcam.
Where applicable, Google may provide mechanisms for users to make choices regarding personalized advertising and the use of information for advertising purposes.
For users in regions where additional consent requirements apply, advertising may be subject to applicable consent and privacy requirements.

11. Third-Party Services
Colcam may use third-party services to provide specific functionality.
These services may process certain information in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.
Third-party services used by Colcam may include Google services such as Google AdMob and device or platform services required to provide application functionality.
We do not control the privacy practices of third-party service providers. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Personal Information
Perspective Intelligence does not intentionally collect your personal information through the core collection-management features of Colcam unless you provide it through a feature that specifically requires such information.
Colcam does not require you to create an account with Perspective Intelligence in order to use its core collection management functionality.
If future versions of Colcam introduce features that require additional collection or processing of personal information, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.
13. Data Security
We take reasonable measures appropriate to the functionality of Colcam to protect information handled by the application.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any backup files you create.
14. Children's Privacy
Colcam is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through Colcam.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
15. Your Choices
You can choose whether to grant Colcam access to certain device permissions, such as camera or photo access. Some application features may not function if the required permission is denied.
You can also choose what collection information you enter into the application and which photographs you use for your collection.
You may remove collection information from Colcam using the application's available management functions or by removing the application and its associated local data, subject to the capabilities and settings of your device.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Colcam, third-party services, advertising practices, legal requirements, or other relevant circumstances.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
